S W A G PROGRAM SERVICES
SENIOR WELLNESS CENTERS & LIVING COMMUNITIES
A partnership with SWAGWORKS DC and the Senior Wellness or Assisted Living Communities is supports and enhancing the organizations current services through providing Visual Arts Education Workshops to it’s Seniors. Creating artwork helps Seniors not only with learning art skills, but allows Seniors to focus less on aches and pains, and more on the creative process at hand through purposeful movements. Creating art stimulates brain function, balances hand and eye coordination, and is therapeutic to all. Painting especially calms the body and mind, and promotes healthy and happy feelings. Below is a short list of some of the goals and objectives we aim to meet:

SWAG Works DC's mission is to promote and bring together established local artist with community residents in providing art education classes, workshops and events. SWAG Works DC offers a multifaceted and thriving community a complete arts destination, creating a platform which inspires youth, teens, adults to tap into their creative abilities and self-expression.
The mission of the SWAG Works DC is to “develop youths’ resistance to commit negative behavior and make academic progress by teaching pride in self, family and culture.
